Roaming Terms of Use

The roaming service allows you to make and receive calls from your mobile phone, browse the internet and send and receive messages when traveling outside of Spain.

Roaming is included in your rate as long as you travel to zone 1 and do not engage in abusive traffic, except if you travel by boat or plane.

Zone 1 includes the countries of the European Economic Area: Czechia, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe (French Caribbean), French Guiana (French Caribbean), Holland, Hungary , Ireland, Iceland, Mayotte Island, Italy, Réunion, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique (French Caribbean), Norway, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Romania, Sweden and The Vatican.

Abusive traffic in zone 1

Within zone 1, roaming has been included by regulation since June 15, 2017, so voice and data traffic has limits due to this legal regulation. Therefore, abusive use of your roaming rate may cause additional amounts to be billed.

The limits of use considered reasonable are calculated based on the wholesale prices approved by the European Commission. In YOUSIM, the maximum roaming data consumption for each rate is as follows:

MOBILE ONLY RATES

5GB 300 min >> 5

5GB unlimited >> 4

9GB unlimited >> 5

12GB unlimited >> 6

15GB unlimited >> 7

30GB unlimited >> 9

40GB unlimited >> 11

MOBILE RATES FIBER

100mb 12GB >> 7

300mb 24GB >> 7

600mb 25GB >> 7

600mb 35GB >> 10

100mb 2x6GB >> 4 (each line)

300mb 2x12GB >> One of the lines 7 and the second 3

Each GB consumed above these limits will be charged at €3 taxes in zone 1.

Calls made while roaming from a zone 1 country to Spanish numbers or to numbers belonging to zone 1 countries will be within the minutes of your rate. Outside of these minutes, they will be charged at the national price. Keep in mind that this only occurs when you are outside of Spain. If you make a call in Spain to a country in zone 1, it will be considered an international call and the corresponding price will apply.

Other cases in which excesses may be applied to your bill due to abusive use of the rate outside of Spain are:

  • When you do not reside or have stable ties in Spain, YOUSIM may request supporting documentation that proves said ties.
  • When there are long periods of inactivity of a certain SIM card linked to main or exclusive use in roaming.
  • The activation and sequential use of multiple SIM cards in roaming.
  • When it is observed that, in a minimum period of four months, consumption and stay in the EEA countries prevails over consumption and stay in Spain.

YOUSIM will inform you about this and you will have 15 days to modify your usage guidelines and make your consumption and stay in Spain prevail over consumption and stay in the EEA countries.
